Kevin Butcher led a church that brought deep healing to one of the most hopeless neighborhoods in Detroit. His story is the disenchanted raised in church story–desperately wanting to please Christ, but living in a shame and guilt, do-better, work-harder for Jesus environment. God met him in his pain, overwhelming him with His love and grace. Over the last twenty-five years, Kevin has journeyed toward a deeper understanding of that healing love, a love that he shares with everyone whom he meets because it is that love that saved his life and brought him home. His first book, Choose and Choose Again, encourages believers to take that brave step back toward God’s love. He speaks and consults extensively, encouraging pastors, leaders, and churches to embrace love as the transformative power of God in Christ. Kevina and Carla have three grown daughters, and three grandchildren. For more, visit jkevinbutcher.com
