Session 7: Grace and Trust
Jesus’ measure of righteousness is how we receive and give love. Our unity validates His claim to be the world's Savior. Grasp the foundational truth of leadership relationships–the degree to which I trust God and others is the degree to which God and others can love me, no matter how much love God and others love me. We will begin to understand the vital importance of establishing an environment of grace and relationships of trust on a leadership team and in community.

Welcome to Module 2: The Exchange
The Exchange focuses on God’s protective love in trusted relationships and learning the importance of a community of grace, where permission is granted to access lives in exchange for loving protection. In this module, we will discover the relationship between past wounds and our trust factor, using biblical passages that undergird the practical application of God’s protective love. This love is critical to experiencing the truth that Jesus’ work on the cross set us free from the power of sin.

Session 9: Learning Protective Love – The Protector
Gain insight into the grace of our God being a Jealous God. Understand that God’s love is protective rather than controlling throughout Israel’s history. Learn to desire God’s jealous and protective love. From this foundational Biblical truth, this same dynamic is in horizontal relationships. Knowing that protecting others with their love is risky makes the permission step vital.

Session 11: Unmet Expectations Exercise
In this exercise, participants will process unmet expectations on our trust factor. An unmet expectation is the loss of something we haven’t even experienced. Unfortunately, the mind and body do not know the difference. It registers as an actual loss, physically, emotionally, and even spiritually. A team can only move toward the health of a high-trust culture if they deal with the trauma of unmet expectations and the bitterness, misunderstanding, and confusion that results.

Session 12: Learning Protective Love – The Permittor
Once we trust His love, God protects us. Applying this to redemptive relationships in the church, especially between leaders, you will grasp the same process. We encounter protective love when the protector asks for permission to access our lives in exchange for their protection. Having grasped the benefits of this love you will be compelled to trust God and others’ love in ways that will protect you.
